Flanken Style Short Ribs
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs. Flanken Style Short Ribs
- 3 tablespoon Soy Sauce low sodium
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced
- 1 red jalapeño pepper chopped
- 3 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 2 tsp Fresh Ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
- Chopped Green Onions or parsley for garnish
Marinade:
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, jalapeño, ginger, and sesame oil to a small bowl. Whisk to combine the ingredients thoroughly.
- Place the short ribs into a pan or a large storage bag. Pour the marinade over the short ribs and mix well to ensure the ribs are fully coated. Leave in the fridge to marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Remove the ribs from the fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.
Stove Top Instruction:
- Preheat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat with cooking oil.
- Add the short ribs to the skillet, allowing them to cook for about one to two minutes on each side. Be careful not to let the pan get too hot, or the marinade will burn.
- If you would like more sauce, pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and serve it with your ribs!
Grilling Instruction:
- Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about three to four minutes until browned. Then, flip them over and cook for an additional three to four minutes.
Serve with you favorite sides, we like to have our with rice and enjoy!
